THE TWENTIETH ANNUAL
DOWNEAST COUNTRY DANCE FESTIVAL

Thanks to our daytime performers, many of whom opt to donate their share of the proceeds back into strengthening the Festival (and even those who accept their share in payment generally barely make gas money). Thanks to all for your support of the dance community in Maine!

Yes - We are the DEFFA Festival

After years of working as independent organizations, DEFFA and DECDFA officially merged in 2009 to pool our resources and function as one organization. The former DECDF Board nowfunctions as a committee of DEFFA, with represntation on the DEFFA Board.

So for those so fond of referring to the festival as the " DEFFA Festivail", we finally really are - even though the officlal name of the Festival remains unchanged - the DownEast Country Dance Festival.
